Barancik is an award-winning printmaker, photographer, and painter.
His art is inspired by the coast and countryside of New England.
Bob received a B.F.A. from the Rhode Island School of Design and
an M.A. from Stanford University.
collages and prints have been exhibited at many major institutions.
These include the Frye Museum (Seattle), the Minnesota Museum
of American Art, the New Jersey State Museum, the Rare Book and
Print Room of the New York Public Library, the Van Pelt Library
of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Center for Maine Contemporary
prints and photography were featured in six award-winning videos.
These have been screened at the Santa Barbara International Film
Festival, the Columbus International Film Festival, the Philadelphia
International Film Festival, the Toronto Jewish Film Festival,
the Festival International du Film Independant (Brussels), the
Black Maria Film Festival, the Canadian International Annual Film
Festival, and the Maine International Film Festival.
Bob has lectured
at numerous academic institutions, including Drexel University,
Moore College of Art, the Stern School of Business at NYU, and
the University of California at Berkeley.
